The Mind Behind the Story

Brought up in the Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire area, Meg moved to West Yorkshire in 1988. She has a daughter, Emma, and son, Sam, who are both in their thirties. Until becoming self-employed in 2004, Meg worked in property, charity and recruitment.

Much of Meg's inspiration is drawn from the heady heights of the Holme Valley, where she currently lives. Her first publication, Tarot Teachers, came on to the market in 2007, and she wrote and directed her first play in 2007, 'Memories of To Sir With Love', which was performed by Turn Again Theatre in Holmfirth.

Since starting to write, Meg has become enamoured with Amateur Dramatics, something she had not been involved in for over 40 years. Smitten, and to enhance her writing and acting, Meg undertook a two-year BTec Performing Arts Course at Huddersfield Technical College. Her favourite roles to date have been Mrs Richardson, in 'Fawlty Towers' and Irene, in 'The Lady of Letters'. Meg has just been approached to play Kathy in Stephen King's 'Misery' in May 2009. Her ambition is to play a cameo role in Fecundity!

Meg is a trained Energy Therapist and has a healthy interest in alternative therapies and spirituality. Besides drama and property renovations, Meg is a keen artist, an enthusiastic photographer and loves to cook and bake.
